Q. Will you place ads on my site?
A. We will NOT place ads on your site.

Q. Do you allow sites to advertise for money, on their web site?
A. Yes, we allow sites to have commercial advertisements.

Q. What forms of payment do you accept?
A. We currently accept cash and checks/cheques. At this time, we do not accept credit cards.

Q. Are your servers Unix, or NT?
A. Our servers run a custom version of Linux based on Ubuntu.

Q. Do you allow adult sites?
A. Yes, we allow adult sites, so long as they do not display or allow access to minors.

Q. Is tax included with the price of my plan?
A. Yes, tax is included within the price.

Q. What control panel do you use and do you have a demo?
A. The control panel we use is called Usermin. Contact Support if you would like a demonstration.

Q. Can I host friends?
A. Yes, you may host your friends, but you must pay extra for any additional resources. In other words, if you have a 5 GB account, you use 4 GB, and your friend uses 2 GB, you will need to pay extra for the additional gigabyte.

Q. How long does it take to set up my account?
A. Your account will be set up once we have screened the transaction for fraud.

Q. Are there any hidden costs, or setup fees?
A. No

Q. Do you offer telnet or shell access?
A. No. For security reasons, we do not allow shell access. However, Usermin allows you to create commands, both one-time and recurring.

Q. Can I password protect directories?
A. Yes; you can do this from the control panel.


Q. How long does it take to get my domain working?
A. Officially, it takes about 24-48 hours for a domain to fully propagate across the internet. However, we have been able to knock this down to about 15 minutes. This will depend on your domain registrar, however.
Q. What do I set my domains name server's to?
A. Our name server information is as follows:

Name server 1: ns1.techmastertelecom.com
Name server 2: ns2.techmastertelecom.com
Name server 3: ns0.xname.org
Name server 4: ns1.xname.org  

Q. Do you have a manual for the control panel?
A. Unfortunately, there is no manual for Usermin. However, you can contact Support with any questions.

Q. Where do I go to login to my control panel?
A. You can go here.

Q. How do I make sub-domains?
A. If you want to make subdomains for a domain that you own, you can edit your domain's zone file in the "dns" directory. If you want to make a subdomain at techmastertelecom.com, you will need to contact Support to make the changes for you.
Q. Where can I download a free FTP client?
A. If you are running Windows, we recommend FileZilla. If you are running Mac OS X, you can use Cyberduck. And if you are on Linux, you can just use the built-in FTP support.

Q. It's not letting me upload my files. What's wrong?
A. Make sure you are uploading to the right web directory, the public_html folder. If you receive an error message of any kind, contact Support

Q. What is the path to my users files?
A. The path is /external/username/public_html

Q. What is the local path to perl?
A. The path to perl is /usr/bin/perl

Q. What is the path to convert for ImageMagick?
A. The path to convert is /usr/bin/convert

Q. What is the path to sendmail?
A. The path to sendmail is /usr/sbin/sendmail

Q. None of my CGI scripts are working. How do I get them to work?
A. Make sure that they are CHMOD'ed to 755.

Q. How do I create databases and manage them?
A. Login to Usermin and click MySQL Databases. After your database is created you can manage it from phpMyAdmin. This can be found at pma.techmastertelecom.com.

Q. How do I take advantage of the thirty-day money back guarantee?
A. Simply email us your username, password, and why you wish to cancel within thirty days, and we process your refund in less then 24 hours.

Q. How do I make a payment?
A. Please send your payment in either cash or check/cheque to our mailing address made out to the representative who originally assisted you.

Q. How do I stop billing?
A. If you wish to close your account simply email us your username, password, and why you wish to cancel. You must also include "I give you permission to delete my website and all of it's content."
